• Account Data: If you create an account, we store your email address and saved comparisons.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution for service optimization.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the comparison service.
• To improve our AI-powered cost estimates and user experience.
• To send you trip alerts and updates (only if you opt in).
• To detect and prevent abuse of the platform.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share anonymized, aggregated usage data with analytics partners. Your comparison queries are processed via third-party AI providers (Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini) — these queries do not contain personally identifiable information.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies (PostHog) help us understand how the site is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

Comparison data is cached for performance. Account data is retained until you request deletion. Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can request a copy of your data or account deletion by emailing privacy@tripvs.ai.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Supabase Row-Level Security, and secure API key management to protect your data.
